My awesome day (in bullets):

• Went to the prayer meeting (first time for 2012)!
• Started my devotionals but haven't finished it. Running late.
• Ate breakfast. Plain rice, egg and dried fish. :9
• T'was already past 8am so I decided to cut my Camping class.
• Rode Toki to NIP.
• Too early for my Phy71 lec so I just stayed somewhere decent and made my Experiment 8 prelab.
• Dozed off for a few minutes.
• Phy71 lec.
• Went to MB and got Karina's datasheet from Theo.
• Headed to chem. pav. Chem17lec.
• Crammed the take-home quiz. I have no idea what our current lesson is.
• Chem17lab. Experiment 8 with temporary groupies Rov and Francis.
• Lab ended at 4:25pm. Decided to ditch Math53.
• Walked to Area 2.
• Bacon bbq burger with Girro. Mmm :9
• Went back to Kalay and tambay-ed outside.
• Accompanied Danisa to buy another bacon bbq burger. Hahaha.
• Walked to Sunken Garden with Emman and IC.
• SE with Reza, Ate Gelaii, Ate Joyce and 3 girls from Balara NHS.
• Re-learned the Inverted Bridge.
• Shared IB with other 2 girls.

So, this part's really cool. Ate Gelaii and I met these two awesome young ladies just chilling around Sunken Garden. Their names were Marie and Jamie. So while I was sharing the inverted bridge, I saw Zorro walking so I just waved at him. Then he approached us. So I just invited him and also shared with him about Jesus. He listened. Really listened. I was surprised. After that, I prayed over the three of them. It was just amazing! After praying and of course, plugging Kontrakultura, this surprising moment happened. Well, something like this:

Zorro: Magaling ka. Kakaiba ka. May boypren ka ba? Wag na wag silang magkakamaling saktan ka. Lilibutin ko talaga ang Sunken Garden para protektahan ka. (Then, he put his right hand on the top of my head and he prayed for me. I didn't know what to do!) Jesus loves you! Salamat.

And then Zorro kissed my right hand. He placed his hands on my shoulders and he was like, "Gusto mo ng kiss?" Tapos he kissed my left cheek. WHOA. Too much Zorro. Too much. Hahaha.

And then he left. And then we chatted with Jamie and Marie a little longer until Ate Joyce and Reza came by. It's not everyday that you get to pray for a UP icon like that, right? And have that moment, you know, THAT moment, right? Hahaha :D

• Walked back to Kalay.
• Kalay GA. Registered but didn't really attend.
• Take out @ LB.
• Back to Kalay.

This day's great. Jesus is great. Life is great. :>

Usapang Pasalubong Festival 2012

Pasalubong festival is an annual event in Kalayaan Residence Hall, UP Diliman wherein the different regions showcase their different regional delicacies. Hundreds of UP students, or even outsiders attend this said event. Besides the food part, there's also the fashion show part where models proudly wear their respective region's cultural and superhero costumes.

The Pasafest was a blast. There were so many people that visited our booth and we served tons of food like Roscas, Bocarillos, Moron, Tres Marias, Binagol, Binudbod, Pastillas, Tinapa, Piniato, Nuts, and the ever-so-famous Tuba.

After the outsiders left Kalay, we had a little Region VIII reunion. We jammed. We played charades. We ate. And we enjoyed our time together (seldomly happens because of our busy schedule) while lying on the banig and star-gazing. It was fun! :)))

Pasafest wasn't disappointing after all.

At dahil sponsor for Feb. 15th ang SOD, kami ang magbebenta ng tickets and I contacted some of my Onse friends na and may nagpareserve na. I also invited some Pisay MC friends. I also advertised it sa Tumblr, Facebook and Twitter. I submitted an ad sa unibersidadngpilipinas.tumblr.com and I TA-ed some of my Tumblr friends na hindi ko pa naman talaga kilala personally. May mga nagtetext na rin sa'kin about the reservations and may nag-tweet na rin sa'kin about the event.

Usapang New Year (Part 2)

     So eto na. Dahil hindi masikmura ng aking konsyensya na hindi tapusin ang continuation ng post na "Usapang New Year" e kahit busy ako e tatapusin ko pa rin.

     Hindi ako nagcecelebrate masyado ng New Year at medyo hate ko ang celebration na ito dahil inatake ang Mom ko nung New Year's eve ng 2007-2008. 1st year high school pa lang ako nun,12 y.o. , walang kaalam-alam sa mundo. My mom was so busy preparing yummy meals and desserts. Tapos all of a sudden, she had a heart attack. Ambilis ng mga pangyayari. We rushed to the hospital. My Dad was kinda drunk that time so medyo wala siya sa normal niyang pag-iisip at dahil unica hija ako, nanghingi ako ng tulong sa mga kapitbahay namin. Nakapunta kami ng 3 hospitals before ma-settle yung Mom ko. Nung nasa hospital na siya, and when I have to go back home to get some of her stuff, food and some cash, syempre New Year's eve so habang sakay ako ng tricycle, andami ng paputok sa mga streets. Ansasaya nila samantalang ako, I couldn't even smile back then. After 10 days of hope and pain, God took her away. The most disastrous, most painful, darkest moment of my life. My whole life turned 180 degrees. Everything changed. Everything.

     So hindi ako excited sa New Year celebrations. They are not relevant.

Ang haggard ng araw na 'to.

   When I woke up, I was already late for my 8am PE class kasi nga I woke up at 8am, so yun I decided to cut. I realized, I haven't done my prelab for E5 so I just crammed my prelab. After 30 mins or so, I took a bath. I was really starving na so after I got dressed, labas na agad ako ng dorm to eat pero biglang may dumaan na Toki so sumakay na lang rin ako.

Phy71 (10:15-11:15am)
   Talked about work-energy thingy. The quiz was surprisingly difficult and oh, I got the results back from yesterday's long exam and I got a really bad score though I passed. 20/40 yung passing rate. Medyo sabit lang ako. :/

Chem17lec (11:30-1:00pm)
   Got my 1st LE results back and guess what: I FAILED. :( Big time. Super bagsak. 83/150 yung passing rate and my score wasn't even close. Bawi next time. Lectured about the the 1st long exam. Oh, and I was really worried kasi we (Karina, my lab partner, and I) didn't do our DG4 but thanks to Karina's resourcefulness and we had our precious DG4 answers by the end of the period. Miracles do happen.


Chem17lab (1:00-4:00pm)
   Submitted prelab E5. Experiment 5 proper. We were assigned to prepare the KSCN stock solution. Tapos our lab instructor demonstrated the spectrophotometer thingy. Funny thing was before that, may nangyari:

   Karina: Up to mark? As in 50-mL? (referring to the flask)
   Aries: Dun sa mark ng volumetric flask. 50mL nga.
   Karina: So dito? (pointing sa flask)
   Aries: Andun sa front yung flask o.
   Karina: Eto na, na-prepare na namin.
   Aries and Girro: Erlenmeyer flask yan.
   Karina and Nikka: HAHAHAHA. Sorry, di kami nag-high school e. :DDD

   Epic fail is epic. Buti na lang di na kami pinaulit ni Sir Joel.


Tapos we had to leave lab early for Math53 class. Girro and I walked to MB together. Before heading to the 3rd floor, he bought a sandwich muna sa cafeteria. The cafe has a new management na pala kasi iniba yung interior ng cafe. Cute ng seats and tables. Tapos, we had a little chitchat. I just remembered that today's Mom's death anniversary. I kinda shared a little about my mom's last days, with him. He lost his father na rin pala. At nag-high five pa kami dun. Ok, hahaha. And naalala ko rin na all I had for the whole day was a sandwich, before Phy71 pa yun and I was really starving but I was too fed up with the 2nd LE thingy that my stomach couldn't hold any food na ibigay ko so di na lang ako kumain. We went to our respective classes na and said our good-luck's.

Math53 (4:00-5:15pm)
   2nd LONG EXAM. I found it tricky and difficult. All I had for a sure answer was the linear approximation item which was kinda ironic kasi that was the last topic that I learned. Last night ko lang yun natutunan with Diane.


Walked to Kalay with JP, Ate Mamars, Lau and Rej.

Cell with Ate May. It was about the preaching last Sunday: envasion! Awesome cell is awesome. And the food. Wow. Also, Ben handed me the script for the cultural show for the Pasafest 2012. Epic script is epic! Playwright pala si Ben. Hahaha :))

Dinner with friends and then the rest of the night was about Pasafest na. Talked and discussed with Ben about the particulars of the show. We decided na gawing musical yung play niya so there won't be any  awkward moments. Actually, instead of blogging this, I should be listing the materials for the props and set-up for the show because tomorrow afternoon, we'll go somewhere to buy the materials so that on Thursday night, we can start rehearsing and make our costumes na. Each region is obliged to contibute 2k, so will 6k be enough for the whole thing? We need to buy lots of paint and accessories and cardboards and tela and scissors and . . . And I have to finalize the music. Music director rin po ako. :P Hahaha. The background music should be downloaded and burnt by Friday night.

Maybe if there is still enough time, I'll start making my RDR E4. Deadline's on Thursday.

So, will I or will I not cut Math53 tomorrow?

Sorry kung di pa kita na-uupdate or kung di ko pa nasusulat yung part 2 ng Usapang New Year. BUSY LANG TALAGA KASI AKO. Pag matapos na ang Physics71 1st long exam, Math53 2nd long exam, Chem17 RDR E4, Physics71.1 worksheet, Chem17 DG4 at prelabs, magsusulat ulit ako. Andami kong gustong ikwento. Andaming nangyayari pero sobrang kulang sa time. 2012 is giving me a rough time. Maybe this coming weekend, magsusulat ulit ako. Pasafest. UP Fair 2012. Acads. Family. Friends. Anything under the sun. At maybe dadagdagan ko ang nikkarrietta101, pero ayun nga, next time. Busy e.

Usapang New Year

Pag new years talaga, hindi ako excited.

This recent new year's celebration lang e hindi ko nga alam kung matatawag yun na celebration. Ang tahimik, I mean, syempre maingay dahil sa paputok pero hindi ko talaga ramdam si 2012. Kulang masyado. Walang media noche. E wala ngang pagkain e. Seryosooo. Wala talaga. Nag-dinner lang ako sa bahay ng Tita ko. Konti lang nakain ko. Kasi naman, hindi naghanda sina Uncle Alipol. Puro away kasi. AWAY. Tsh. BV.

Kaya maaga akong natulog, hindi ko na-greet nang maayos si 2012. Kaya hello 2012! Be kind! HAHAHA.

So eto na, bakit ayoko sa new years? Kasi. . . (kwento ko next time ha? Nasa Mactan Intn'l Airport kasi ako ngayon. Nakikigamit lang ako ng iPad sa Smartbro na booth. OO. iPad. Sila na talaga. Hahahaha.)
