Sige, magkkwento na lang ako. (Forever Alone mode)
Actually, this story was told by a guest pastor, one of Pastor Carlo Panlilio’s national 12 - Pastor Al.
Tapos on his way, may ibang aso na nakarinig sa pagtahol nung aso ng farmer so sumunod rin sila. He still pursued the rabbit hanggang sa mahuli niya.
So you would ask, “Bakit tumigil yung ibang aso sa pagtakbo?”
Wrong question.
The right question is “Bakit hindi tumigil sa pagtakbo yung aso ng farmer?”
Only those who have seen and who have been caught by the vision will pursue the vision. Others who have heard it may chase it, but sooner or later, they will stop. If you ask them, “Why are you going to church? Why are you doing your devotions?” Hindi na sila sigurado sa isasagot nila.
Parang sa paaralan lang rin. If you ask students kung bakit ba talaga sila nag-aaral, isasagot nila most probably is “To have a better future or to have a good job.” But in every day that they’re living their lives as students, do you think they really are looking forward to that “better future”? Do you think they’re doing their best at all times to pursue that said vision? Most probably not. Why? Because they only answered that because that’s the expected answer. They really haven’t stopped for a sec and imbibed the real essence of the question. They say it’s for a better future, but in every class and in every exam that they take, they complain or rant or get bored or just don’t care. Why? Because they just heard of the vision, they haven’t seen it…yet.
So it’s important to know why you’re doing the things that you are doing. Why are you wasting the precious minutes of your lives doing this or that? Why are you living your life the way you are? Is it because of the vision you have set for yourself or is it because everyone is doing it and you just go with it? Are you really studying because you’re looking forward to the best future you can have or are you just studying because everyone’s doing it and that your parents will be furious if you don’t? Do you believe in God because you really have the faith or you just do because you need to believe in something, a higher power, that would make life less insane.
Ponder about it. See yourself.
Are you the farmer’s dog or are you just one of the stray dogs who just ran and tired themselves for nothing?
